In May 2003 the Hutus were pardoned for their part in the genocidal killings of the Tutsi in April 1994 in Rwanda. They went back to their former villages, living side-by-side as they always had, with their Tutsi neighbors. This book explores how this scenario is even possible and what the Tutsi survivors feel as they are foced to live alongside a Hutu that may have killed a family member or friend.
