Examines global economic issues from the perspectives of workers around the world during one twenty-four-hour period--June 15, 2005--presenting their stories in their own words; explores such questions as what sets the price of oil, whether immigration is a "luxury or a necessity, " whether it helps the economy for ideas to have owners, and how much power the U.S. can exert over the global economy.
