Praying for strangers

The author provides an account of how, in the midst of a holiday season made bittersweet by the knowledge that her two sons were being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, the notion came to her to make a New Year's resolution to pray for a different stranger--one significant, special person--every day, and describes her experiences carrying through on her resolution.
