Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables tells the story of a spirited redheaded orphan named Anne Shirley, who is mistakenly placed with an elderly couple living in a little white farmhouse called Green Gables. Since Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert had wanted a boy to help them on the farm, they doubt that this mischievous little girl, always getting herself into adventures and misadventures, will be of much help at all. Yet they decide to raise her; and little by little she warms their hearts.
