A memoir about Alma Guillermoprieto who left New York in 1970 to teach at Cuba's National School of Dance. Alma taught students in mirrorless studios amidst chronic shortages and revolutionary upheaval. She soon discovered that dance held a historical significance to the people of Cuba.
