After Nathan McCann rescues a baby boy from the woods the boy's grandmother comes forward to claim him and all Nate asks is that the grandmother brings the boy back some day to meet his rescuer, but fifteen years later Nate is a widower and the boy is brought to Nate an angry teenager with a criminal history and Nate is determined to change him with love and patience.
