In this video Bill Nye uses comedy to present information on mammals.Bill discusses the common characteristics of mammals including: mammals have hair or fur, mammals are warm-blooded (their body maintains its temperature), mammals nurse their young, mammals breathe oxygen, and mammals get their body heat from the energy in the food they eat. This video contains an experiment to demonstrate the sense of smell. The inside cover and paper inset contain an experiment to determine if a mammal's ears would aid in cooling the skin and an experiment to demonstrate how evaporation is cooling. This program also contains a music video parody called "Jennifer's a Mammal".
