Shoebag, a happy, young cockroach, awakes one morning to find that he has turned into a little boy. Adopted by the Biddle family, Shoebag is renamed Stuart Bagg. He becomes friends with seven-year-old Eunice Biddle, better known as Pretty Soft, star of a bathroom tissue commercial.
