When Amy's mother gets a job working behind the scenes at a fashion event, Amy looks forward to honing her design skills, but when a talent scout persuades Amy to be a runway model, she starts to turn into a fashion monster and endanger her friendship with the English Roses.

The English Roses intervene when Grace, acting as manager for Nicole's class president campaign, lets her competitive streak overwhelm her common sense, as well as Nicole's leadership qualities.

The Roses step in to help their friend Binah when she begins having doubts about her father's plans to marry her teacher, Miss Fluffernutter.

Nicole and Amy attend a creative arts camp in Wales for vacation, and when Binah visits Grace in Atlanta, she experiences motion sickness on her first overseas holiday and becomes homesick once she arrives, leaving Grace and her family to make everything better.

Rumors begin to fly about Nicole and Jackson Elliot, her partner for the science fair, that threaten to ruin their friendship and their project.

Nicole is excited about her friend from New York, Leslie, joining the English Roses, but once the other girls meet Leslie, they realize she is snooty and everyone but Nicole agrees they don't want to be her friend.

Grace has always loved soccer, but when her family life begins to fall apart, even her love for the game can't help Grace, and she turns to her friends, the English Roses, to get her through the tough times.

Amy is depressed after her mother announces that she is pregnant and they need to cancel their trip to Milan, and after Amy and her friends take Charlotte's bratty little brother, Patrick, to the circus she is even more convinced that a younger sibling is the last thing she wants.

Binah, tired of being "the nice one" in her group of friends, decides to get tough after being taken for granted once too often, but her new persona is not fitting in well with the English Roses, nor is it pleasing to Ben, the boy who liked her fine just as she was.
