Being Toffee

When Allison runs away from her abusive father, she finds herself taking shelter in a shed behind an abandoned home. Allison soon discovers the house isn't abandoned, and an old woman named Marla who has dementia lives there. Mistaking Allison for an old friend named Toffee, Marla welcomes Allison into her home, and a friendship between the two blossoms. The two fill a hole in each other's hearts, but Allison begins to wonder how long she can keep pretending.
