Contains reproductions of 435 hand-colored engravings of birds of North America which originally appeared in the Audubon Society's rare "Double Elephant Folio.".

Presents 435 plates of 1,065 individual birds of Audubon's paintings to coincide with the 200th anniversary of his birth.
