Freddy goes swimming at the pool with his two friends, and the life guard gives him swimming instructions so that eventually he can join his friends in the deep end of the pool.

After Freddy is pushed into deep water by a couple of toughs, he decides to learn to swim.

Freddy is always the last one in pool because he can't swim, but when Bobby and Willie push him into the deep end, he has to make a decision.
