While searching for a friend to have winter fun with, Mouse follows the tracks of many animals in the snow, eventually ending at Groundhog's hole.

Mouse experiences his first summer and hears from the other animals why it is such a wonderful season, filled with plentiful food and the opportunity to grow.

Mouse wonders why all of his woodland friends are too busy to play until Ground Hog explains that they are preparing for what's to come.
