Twelve-year-old Jason's dream of being a contestant on the trivia game show Masquerade Mania is jeopardized by his family's trip to California--a cross-country nightmare in an embarrassing camper with annoying siblings and a copycat nemesis.
Jason, who longs to try out for his favorite game show, is excited when his parents plan a family vacation to California until he learns that it will be a cross-country camping expedition in a camper that looks like a giant sardine can.
