Alyssa Gardner is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Alice Liddle, the famous Alice of Mr. Lewis Carroll's best-selling book, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." Alyssa seems to have inherited a bit of the family weird, being able to hear the thoughts of animals and plants. Her mother could, too, and got put in an institute. So Alyssa is making sure to keep her delusions secret--until she finds that Wonderland is a real place, and it is in need of a little girl to come and set it right again.
