John Saturnall's feast

While on the run from a mob accusing them of witchcraft in 1625, John's mother teaches him about an ancient and secret Feast. A winter out in the wild takes his mother's life, and John is taken to Buckland Manor as an orphan and put to work in the kitchens. Guided by the master cook, John takes his mother's story about the Feast to heart and quickly gains recognition for his culinary creations. Now the master of the house's daughter, Lucretia, swears she will fast until her father lets her off the hook for an arranged marriage. The task falls to John to get her to eat, but in his attempts John and Lucretia slowly fall in love themselves. Meanwhile the English Civil War is looming.
