After an invasion by Apokolips ends in the deaths of all the planet's superheroes and its gods, Earth 2 depends upon a new set of heroes to save them. Earth's Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkwoman, and the Atom must defend Earth 2 from the Grey, a power that is siphoning the life of the planet itself and whose champion is the undead Simon Grundy.

A group of prisoners in the Dead Zone of Battleworld must contend with both the robotic forces of Ultron and zombies with super powers.

Fed up with only fighting when they are called upon and with losing friends and colleagues, some members of the Justice League, led by Green Lantern and Green Arrow, decide they want justice. They begin tracking down supervillains, starting with Prometheus, whose quest for the advanced technologies superheroes depend upon has led to several heroes' deaths. But, by going rogue, they risk losing their ideals.
