Tournaments and jousts

The tournament is one of the of the defining images of the Middle Ages. Two knights on horseback gallop toward one another, each encased from head to toe in gleaming armor decorated with brightly colored coats of arms. They each carry a huge lance pointed at the other's chest. A the moment of impact, there is a great crash.
