Jessica Mastriani, after emerging from a thunderstorm with psychic ability, searches for the killer of a popular cheerleader and works with a government agent to locate a missing child, believed to have been taken by a backwoods militia.

Contains two stories about teenager Jess Mastriani who has a penchant for getting in trouble, but finds her problems multiply when she is struck by lightning and wakes up the next morning with a supernatural talent for finding lost or missing children which attracts the attention of the media, the FBI, and parents who want her help.
