Batgirl Cassandra Cain faces a confrontation with the Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime is bad enough, but Batgirl also must deal with a lunatic scientist, a "Jokerized" Shadow Thief, and a trio of deadly assailants. While fighting all this crime, Batgirl is in the midst of mentoring a fellow female crime fighter.
