A collection of nineteen songs designed to teach children ages five through eight basic phonics skills, including initial consonant sounds, long and short vowel sounds, blends, and digraphs, with activities and worksheets to accompany the songs and reinforce skills.

Presents hands-on activities and a CD of ten songs that provide information on American history, topics including Native Americans, the American Revolution, the Bill of Rights, Lewis and Clark, westward expansion, the Civil War, the Underground Railroad, the age of invention, and immigration.
