Traveling to his ancestral home in Egypt to battle the evil wizard Badru, twelve-year-old Tommy Bomani, who has inherited great strength and an ability to shape-shift into powerful, large cats, must first find a missing piece of a statue carved by the Egyptian god Ra.

Tired of warrior training, overconfident Tommy Bomani uses his newly acquired shape-shifting power to battle Marcellus Fish, evil wizard Badru's henchman.

Although an ancient prophecy foretells his death, twelve-year-old Tommy Bomani, who inherited his powerful strength and shape-shifting ability from an Egyptian god, prepares to battle the evil wizard Badru, with help from the Protectorate, a small group of adults in Tommy's community.

After discovering that he has inherited the ability to transform into a cat, sixth-grader Tommy Bomani learns about his Egyptian warrior bloodline.
