Explores plant and animal life in the temperate forests of Washington State, the grasslands of East Africa, the saltwater marshes of Australia, and the tropical rain forests of Peru, and on the polar ice of Antarctica.

Students see an aluminum can, plastic carton, glass bottle and newspaper dumped into a landfill, then learn that by recycling and reusing them and by reducing their use that, instead of filling up landfills, valuable natural resources could be saved.
