Young Diego de la Vega, a boy with both Spanish and Indian blood, spends his days riding horses and getting into mischief with his best friend. But as men begin disappearing from the pueblo of Los Angeles and cattle go missing from his father's rancho, Diego and his friend decide to take justice.
