When an Imperial Star Destroyer unexpectedly intercepts an Alliance scouting mission, Rebel leader Mon Mothma begins to suspect there is a spy in the ranks. She charges Princess Leia with a secret mission that involves uncovering the spy. Meanwhile she sends Han Solo on a mission of his own.

Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo lead an Alliance delegation to negotiate a deal for much-needed materials for the Rebel Alliance when they fall into the hands of fierce marauders from Leia's homeworld of Alderaan, recently destroyed by the Death Star. Struggling with intense feelings of guilt, loyalty, and betrayal, Leia is determined to help her wayward kinspeople, even as Imperial forces are closing in on her own crippled ship.

Xizor, a reptilian criminal who seeks to usurp Darth Vadar's position in the Empire, marks Luke Skywalker as his first target, while the young Jedi marshall's his forces to free Han Solo, who is being held captive in a carbonite slab.

Follows Han Solo, a soldier for the Rebel Alliance fighting against the Empire aboard his spaceship, the Millennium Falcon.

Han Solo and his family is threatened on the planet Ord Mantell due to incidents in Han's past.

Collects adaptations, in graphic novel format, of "Heir to the Empire," in which the last of the Emperor's warlords make crucial discoveries that could destroy the fragile new Republic; "Dark Force Rising," in which Princess Leia tries to bring an alien race into the Republic while Han and Luke search for Admiral Thrawn; and "The Last Command," in which the New Republic suffers attacks from Thrawn and his army of clone soldiers.
