Bailey Flanigan leaves Bloomington for New York City when she gets a chance to audition for a role in a Broadway musical, but she is unsure about leaving her family and friends and worried about Cody, who has traveled in secret to Indianapolis to be closer to his mother in jail.
Bailey Flanigan pursues her dream of becoming an actress and a dancer in New York, while Cody Coleman coaches a small high school football team back home, and as their relationship becomes strained due to the physical distance, they find their faith in God and one another further tested in the face of tragedy.
After a long and lonely silence from Cody Coleman, Bailey Flanigan becomes closer to her one-time Hollywood co-star, Brandon Paul, however, an unexpected loss may bring Cody and Bailey back together again.
