Apartment superintendent and aspiring actress Dana Coakley's life takes an unanticipated turn when she agrees to help a student she tutors at an alternative school who is implicated in a crime. Dana suspects that arson, not her student, is to blame when a home for low-income families mysteriously burns to the ground killing children and firefighters.
