In New York City J.D. discovers Bertie, who is rich and spends his days sitting on his butt, which is the body part that makes them "cousins"--but Frankenstein's daughter has also arrived, and enlisted the help of the Werewolf and the Invisible Man, so J.D. will have to figure out a way save both Bertie and himself.

In this combination of two separately published works, J.D. discovers that he is the son of Frankenstein's monster, and armed with the Doctor's journal he sets out to find his "relatives"--the descendents and relations of the people whose body parts Doctor Frankenstein used.

This time fourteen-year-old J.D. is looking for the family of the contributor of his dad's large intestines, and the search leads him to Florida, and his "cousin" Gloria, bodyguard of the Vampire--but when she is wounded protecting J.D. from Frankenstein's daughter, he finds himself obliged to protect the Vampire from the Invisible Man.
