Teru and Kurosaki have a chance to find the mysterious "M's Last Testament" but Akira is after it too.

Teru moves out of Kurosaki's apartment and into a place of her own, wondering if Kurosaki is actually relieved to see her go, but as she settles into her own place, trouble springs up again with the arrival of one of her brother's old business acquaintances.

After her older brother dies, orphaned Teru Kurebayashi comes to depend on an anonymous friend, "Daisy, " with whom she communicates by text messaging. After breaking a window at school, Teru agrees work for the school custodian, Kurosaki, to pay for the damage, and she soon learns that Kurosaki is a demanding taskmaster who is hiding a secret, but he always seems to be near when Teru needs help.
