Mr. Terupt's former students have entered junior high and, each of them having their own personal issues, are afraid their group will split up. Hoping their former teacher can help, they find that it is he who is in need of saving.
The students from Mr. Terupt's fifth and sixth grade classes wrestle with a variety of personal challenges when they begin their first year of junior high. When a fight breaks out among them, they turn to Mr. Terupt for assistance, and discover that it is Mr. Terupt who needs their help.
