Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, wakes up after a horrific battle with the Hulk to find himself in a prison for the criminally insane in England. Wade begins to work his way to the top of the heap in the prison with escape in mind, but a psychotherapist begins to have an affect on him, and without the psycho killer aspect of his personality to hold him together, he falls into a deep depression.

Deadpool is hired to evict the Wrecker, a supervillain with a magical crowbar who once took on the Avengers alone. Then, Deadpool takes out an intergalactic repo-man, Macho Gomez, then he steals Macho's space car, inherits Macho's job and his alien girlfriend, and is hired to take out Id, the Selfish Moon, a planet-destroying sentient space rock.

Deadpool makes new enemies out of the casino bosses and The House--a heavily armed security guard led by an old "friend" of Wade's--on his trip to Las Vegas.

Deadpool joins the Secret Avengers and battles Secret Avenger clones alongside the real Secret Avengers, and then Deadpool is hired by some good vampires to fight some bad vampires.

Saving the galaxy earned the Deadpool Corp a reputation, and a contract with the Omega Confederation, who hires them to quell a rebellion on the Krook homeworld that is interfering with Omega's mining operation.
