While the whole world sailed east on a path to find China. Columbus believed it could be reached in 2 weeks...by sailing west! With the support of Queen Isabella of Spain, Columbus set sail only to have his crew threaten mutiny after 3 weeks of sailing and no sight of land. At the moment of turning back, land was discovered and Columbus realized his dream.
