It's Chinese New Year, and Ms. Frizzle is celebrating. Following the students lead, she ducks under the dragon at the local Chinese New Year's parade, and they are all mysteriously whisked back in time to ancient China.
Wacky and wonderful Ms. Frizzle is invited to celebrate Chinese New Year with her student Wanda's family, and manages to find time before dinner to travel back in time one thousand years to ancient China where she and her young friends embark on a journey to speak to the governor and learn a lot about Chinese culture.
