From the book by Patricia Polacco. Famous for her beautifully painted Ukrainian eggs, old Babushka is preparing her eggs for the Easter Festival when she takes in an injured goose whom she names Rechenka. One terrible day, Rechenka accidentally breaks all of Babushka's lovingly crafted eggs.
