Eighteen-year-old Alexandra Lucas braves her anxiety and jumps through a vertex to the year 2359 where she joins forces with the Umbra, a secret organization, to warn people that the holograms are lying and that Earth still exists, but she is soon bewildered by the lack of outrage conveyed by some people when they learn the truth.
