Spontaneous

A humorous exploration of friendship, goodbyes--and spontaneous combustion.

Lucky caller

"When Nina decides to take a radio broadcasting class her senior year, she expects it to be a walk in the park. Instead, it's a complete disaster. The members of Nina's haphazardly formed radio team have approximately nothing in common. And to maximize the awkwardness her group includes Jamie, a childhood friend she'd hoped to basically avoid for the rest of her life. The show is a mess, internet rumors threaten to bring the wrath of two fandoms down on their heads, and to top it all off Nina's family is on the brink of some major upheaval. Everything feels like it's spiraling out of control--but maybe control is overrated?"--Amazon.

When Ed & Bo realize that their investors may be shady, they must fight for the future of their company as their last summer of freedom comes to a close.

Yearbook

"It's 1996, senior year of high school has just begun, and Lester is at a total loss. His father recently abandoned the family, his mother is more than slightly distracted, and his younger sister, Grace, hides behind her black hoodie and heavy mascara. Lester should be studying and making plans for life after graduation, but instead his mind is on other things. For instance: A shaggy-haired first-year English teacher named Jeff, the rocky beaches of the Pacific Northwest, a petty tyrant with a pink tie who thinks he runs the school, postcards from his father (spoiler alert: they aren't very friendly), The Ramones, his friend Freesia (who's applied to 37 colleges), 'Paradise Lost' by John Milton, a man called 'Pancake' and a van called 'Bluey,' and a renegade yearbook"--Back cover.

Measuring up

In this compilation of four separately published books, Chloe is back in Santa Cruz for her senior year in high school, facing the challenge of reconnecting with her old friends (and rivals), and that most troublesome problem of all-where to apply to college.

Piper Perish

Piper Perish and her two friends, Kit and Enzo, have long planned on getting out of Houston and going to art school in New York City together, but halfway through their senior year Enzo breaks up with her at a dance in the most public, spectacular, and embarrassing manner possible--and suddenly Piper is faced with a series of life and relationship changing events that threaten her dream.

Made to measure

Chloe and her mother take a trip to Los Angeles, where Chloe is combining a guest appearance on the new season of Teen Design Diva, with a tour of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, which is one of the colleges that she is considering, aware that her mother would like her to stay closer to Santa Cruz.

The final cut

The designs for her college applications are due, and the Winter Formal designs for the girls in her class are almost done, and now there is nothing to do but wait and see which of the three colleges, FIDM, Parsons, or FIT, she is accepted to--and then decide whether her future is in Los Angeles or New York.

Back to basics

Her summer internship in New York City over Chloe is back in Santa Cruz, now a senior in high school and fretting over where to apply to college, and she is having a little trouble reconnecting with her old friends--until a new girl, Jada, suggests that Chloe and old rival Nina should design all the girls dresses for the winter formal dance.
