While sheltering from a storm in a little museum, Melanie Dunn breaks a Greek vase and unwittingly releases the Furies, the three avengers of ancient Greece who punish children for the crimes of their parents by driving them mad. When she begins to have thoughts and dreams about them, Melanie realizes she must uncover the secrets of her mother's past before the Furies take out their revenge on her.
