While troubled black teen Tyson Trice recovers from being shot, he is taken in by Nandy Smith and her well-to-do family in the Pacific Hills community. Nandy has a reputation to keep up and she won't let Trice ruin it. But their growing attraction causes problems when the past threatens to pull Trice back onto the streets.

Tyson comes from a poor neighborhood, recovering from getting shot. After moving into the weathly coastal community of Pacific Hills, he finds himself attracted to his new housemate. Tyson brings Nandy out of her shell, while she works to melt the ice that's taken over his heart.
