Revelry is a once-a-year mystery for high school seniors in the woods, but sixteen-year-old Bitsy Clark's friend Amy is obsessed, so the two sneak in; Bitsy feels something bad happened there but she can not remember, although she is sure the Revelry holds the answers to her questions.

Two deceased teens find themselves together in a white room--one that exists outside of time and space, allows them to communicate with their families, and ultimately reveals an unexpected connection between their lives and deaths.

Indigo finds a series of paintings made by her mother that could be the solution to their financial insecurities; however, her mother refuses to revive the series, so Indigo secretly takes up the brush herself and falls into the paintings' dangerous world which blurs fantasy and reality.
