The author traveled from California's famed Humbolt County to the first-annual Medical Marijuana Education Expo to Oklahoma (where a man was sentenced to 93 years for growing marijuana to treat chronic arthritis), and along the way unearthed ignorance about pot's centuries-old therapeutic value.
