Sixth-grader Murphy Shannon cannot wait for his class's visit to the Rayburne Observatory. Unfortunately, being a know-it-all, all the lectures bore him. That's when he and his friends Orly and Cleo go exploring on their own and encounter the enigmatic and frightening Dr. Rayburne himself, who may just take the kids on a terrifying adventure in outer space.
