Hillary Rodham Clinton

Hillary Rodham Clinton became the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate from New York in 2000. A graduate of Yale law school, Mrs. Clinton is not only the wife of former president, William Jefferson Clinton, but was a partner in her Arkansas law firm before her husband took office. As First Lady, she championed causes important to her, particularly women's and children's issues.
