Margaret Cho

Doing high school improv convinced Margaret Cho that her future lay in comedy. In 1994 she landed a sitcom and in her early twenties, when the show was cancelled, she struggled with low self-esteem and drug and alcohol addiction. She soon rebuilt her confidence and her act and sought to use her comedy as a cathartic vehicle to help others. With this successful format she has built a huge fan base with her comedy tours and books.
