With the rise of the gay movement in the 1970's, historians finally acknowledged that homosexuals also suffered enormously at the hands of the Third Reich during World War II. Of the few gay men who survived the concentration camps, only one ever came forward. Because he continued to endure persecution since he first broke his silence in 1971 he has chosen to remain anonymous. This is his story.
