John Crawford, a Florida National Guardsman called up in autumn 2002, tells the story of his tour of duty in Iraq, a stint that was supposed to be three to six months but lasted over a year, discussing his experiences dealing with everything from supply inadequacies and command mismanagements to cleaning up dismembered people on the streets and other realities of the war.
