Based on the lives of real people, the book explores the history of the child labor reform movement and how its victory affects today1 Bs working conditions and protects children's and workers rights. The reader is invited to become an child of the 1800's and given several options to choose from, allowing them the opportunity to explore what poor children forced into wage slavery experienced and see how the children's choices and the actions of others, such as reporters and activists, eventually led the end to child labor.
