Barbarians

four Barbarian tribes, a millennium of terror

With their sudden, brutual attack on an English monastery in 793 A.D. the Vikings quickly spread deep into Europe; Terrorized by the Huns, these once peaceful farmers sought refuge in the Roman Empire, only to find themselves forced into starvation. Under the leadership of a noble named Aleric, they banded together and systematically battled their way to Rome, eventually capturing the capital. But in the end, it was the Goths who kept the art and culture of the Romans alive.
