Presents a musical retelling of the "Romeo and Juliet" story set in 1950s New York City, in which Tony, a former member ofthe Jets, an Anglo street gang, falls tragically in love with Maria, the innocent sister of Bernardo, leader of the Puerto Rican gang, the Sharks.
