Native Americans in children's literature

Analyzes five children's books to see how they misrepresent Native peoples by constructing an image rather than a reality of Native life; looks at various picture books, adapted folktales, and novels to see how well they have retained cultural realities; features annotated reading lists; and examines the writing of Canadian Inuit author Michael Kusugak.
