Sense and sensibility

Impulsive Marianne Dashwood and cautious Elinor are as different as two sisters could be. But both are shattered by their father's sudden death. Their marriage prospects become bleak because of his death and yet Elinor forms an attachment to Edward Ferrars while Marianne throws herself into a brilliant romance with John Willoughby. Elinor's story has a happy ending but Marianne is shattered by Willoughby's public betrayal.
